Suzann and Brian met as Duke undergraduates and have been married since 1993. They have lived in Brentwood for over 20 years and have three children who have graduated from Williamson County Schools, as well as two black labs. Suzann received her BS and MS degrees from Duke University where she was a National Merit and Helen Kaiser Scholar. She is a former high school biology and chemistry teacher. She has been an active parent volunteer in Williamson County Schools, serving as a Destination Imagination coach, Library Coordinator, Classroom Tutor, Textbook Committee Member, AP Test Coordinator, and Student Enrichment Committee Chair. She was honored with the Shining Apple award from Brentwood High School in 2018. She is also a supporter of the John P. Holt Brentwood Library as a Friends member.
Brian received his BSE from Duke University and his MBA from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School where he was a Jenrette Fellow. After serving in the US Navy, Brian has worked for Dell, Amazon, Centerstone, and Smile Direct Club in operations and project management. He has served as a church elder, former Kiwanis member and Brentwood Ball Club baseball coach. He enjoys music, physics, and Duke basketball.
Suzann serves as the Director of Educational Services at Overton Prep. She hires, trains, and matches tutors with families; develops individualized tutoring programs; and oversees our ACT/SAT/PSAT preparation programs and practice tests. Brian is the financial director, physics guru, and behind-the-scenes problem-solver. They are both passionate about working with families to help children succeed in school whether they are struggling or gifted learners.
