ACT classes are taught at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library by Suzann Overton and provide:
  • In-depth instruction on test-taking strategies for the ACT exam
  • Specific techniques for each exam section, including timing, question analysis, and best approaches for student-selected scoring goals 
  • Review of important math formulas and concepts
  • Instruction in punctuation, grammar, and sentence structure topics
  • Techniques for skimming and scanning reading passages
  • Skills for analyzing scientific data and graph reading
  • Guided and independent opportunities for students to practice 
  • Help for students to develop a personal exam approach to maximize scores
Registration is required, and payment is due by the first day of class. Payments may be made by Venmo, Zelle, or check.

After the practice tests, students and their families are invited to return to the library to receive their test booklets and score reports. We will present information to help students analyze their scores, improve scores, and understand the role of the ACT in the college admissions process.
